    XP mode and reusing the virtual on another computer


    Hey guys, so I setup a physical windows 7 computer with XP Mode and installed all applications and customized them as well as joined the virtual to the domain as well.

    I need to use the virtual on 4 other computers (that will save me having to install apps and customizing them for each computer) so if I copy the virtual XP to another win7 computer, I need to un join from the domain, change the name of the PC and then join it back to the domain.

    My question is what about the SID???

    The SID will be the same, how can I use the same virtual on multiple other physical PCs?

    Keep in mind this is in a work environment and all virtuals will be on at the same time, so they can't have the same name obviously.

    Another question, can I run XP mode without being admin on the physical or virtual?
    I tried and XP Mode does not start if not admin on the physical and I can't login to the virtual if not admin on the virtual.

    I think Mark Russinovich had some stuff on his blog about the SID not really being the stumbling block. I can't remember details since it was several weeks ago I glanced through it. May be worth a search.
