DVD grayed out

i just tried to set up a virtual pc from a windows dvd.

when i start the virtual machine, and go to TOOLS, SETTINGS, DVD...

the option to select the physical DVD drive is grayed out?

You have to select it first before you can choose a CD/DVD drive:

DVD grayed out-vpc_dvd_2.png

Click the text Access a physical drive, or press ALT + A to select physical drive, then choose correct drive from the drop down menu.
