Win7 VM's have slow network connection (32kB/s)
Hi all,
./wave
I have a strange problem with Windows Virtual Machine VMs.
I'm running Win7 x64 bit (RC), with one XP and one win 2000 virtual machine. Both these VM's have network connections and can access files and internet etc. But, it seems that (for both VM's) when i try to access files using the VM network connection- it is transferring at 32KB/sec..
Since installation, I have not changed any of the network settings.
Just left all that alone since it was connecting to my physical machines fine.. Except the speed. Does anybody know why?
I'm boggled as what it could be.
Ps: Both Network properties in the VM's identified as 100Mbps connections.
-- I tried turning off both sides of Windows Firewalls
-- Turning Windows Defender off
When I tranfer say a 50Mb file from within the VM, and looking at the network tranfer rates and usage graph..
It looks like a rollercoaster mapping. While transfering the file, the network bandwidth goes up, then down, then up and repeats.. Something is causing lag in the connection, and have no idea what.
My local LAN connection is fine. Transferring between my desktop machine and laptop is fast. Just VM' connections are slow for some reason.
Any help, muchly appreciated.
Thanks :)
Futurist.
