I too use Acronis 2010 on my x64 system, and it has worked flawlessly. Never any issues whatsoever. A Guy

I guess it could be from the reviews that I have read in the past about how Acronis embeds itself in the windows backup and restore control panel menu, and also heard cases of it causing errors in the registry. I read quite a few reviews of people stating that the interface was buggy and it messed up there computer as soon as it was installed, or some people couldn't install it properly. I originally was going to use Acronis as my imaging program but decided to stay away from it for those reasons.
I have experienced none of these problems. I use Acronis True Image 2010 and have for quite some time on a few different machines and it's been flawless for me. I've used it on Win7 64bit and Win7 32bit. It's one of the very few programs that I actually buy that I feel provides greater benefits than free versions.

Just checked and there is nothing embedded in the Control Panel Backup and Restore menu.

The only thing thats embedded, I guess you could say, is in the right click context menu.

So if you Right click a file, or folder, theres a BackUp option.

Im using ATI 2010 as well BTW.

I have used Macrium (free) in the past , when I was looking for a Imaging program.

It does not have all the features ATI does, and is quite basic, but it does the job its intended to do, and quite well. But it is also a free solution, and a far better choice than the built in Imaging IMHO.

I ended up settling with Acronis, because it was the best suited to my needs. Also, I felt it was worth the price to have those extra features.

Thats not saying by any means Macrium is a bad choice.
It all really depends on what you are looking for, and what features you want or need.

Im not very familiar at all with the other two.
