    Integration Components

    Hello,
We run Windows Virtual PC once every two months for a regular task. The user tells me she's been getting a repeated message:
    Updates for Windows Virtual PC
    Integration Components are available.
And I believe there's an offer to accept or deny the updates.

My question is: how long is it OK to not update the Integration Components? The reason I ask is because I've used (other) virtualization tech myself, and found that it worked fine until I updated it, and then it broke and I had to downgrade to my original installation (at the cost of much time), and I don't really want to go through that again!

Integration components are like drivers for XP Mode. For you to use ClearType and other graphics or visual enhancements, and for everything to display properly, you need integration components. For you to transfer files PC to XP mode or USB to XP mode, and use XP Mode programs on Windows 7, you still need integration components.

Like drivers, integration components should be updated as always.
