Since you do not have your specifications listed in your User CPL, I can only refer you to these two threads, and say that, from what I have been reading, you may be able to run it but it will not be using your native processor, it will be an emulated processor - i.e. a lot slower.

More information will be needed - you am not be able to use XP Mode as the native VHD in W7, but there are other Virtualization programs out there that will allow you to run XP if you need it....
johngalt is correct if your system doesn't have a "V" chip that can be turned on then you can use third party VM software. VMware puts out an excellent product, however, at a price. Sun Microsystems puts out Virtual Box, and it is freeware. :)
VMware also puts out a free product, called VMWare Server that you can install on a Windows host. I use it every single day at work.
