How to access Win7 System Recovery Options in a Virtualbox VM?

    Hey All,

Just wondering how you access the System (Startup) Recovery Menu in a Virtualbox VM?

The reason I'm doing this is because I've expanded my System Reserved partition and been playing around with moving my WinRE tools into System Reserved.

I've tried restarting it and pressing F8 but it just boots straight to Windows?

Is there anyway to do that on a VM?

    Hello Lee,

I believe you will need to keep tapping DEL as soon as you run the W7 VM to go to the VM BIOS, then set the CD/DVD (ISO file) to be first in the boot priority then the HDD. This way you will see the usual "Press any key to boot from CD/DVD" at boot to boot from the ISO like a DVD to go to the System Recovery Options (like in option two at link).

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn
