sharing devices in virtual xp to host

Hello folks
sorry if this has been discussed before. What settings in the Host, Virtual PC program and within virtual XP do i need to share an xp only printer so that i can print to it from the host? is there a good tutorial for this?

Windows 7 x86/x64, Server 2008r2, Web Server 2008

Are you using vmware or xp mode?

What you can do is install vmware server,(Free)
During install add a Nic and usb host.
Install Linux,(Free)
Install Lamp,(Free)
Connect to the server from the main machine.

Hi all Here's a link if you get problems with connecting USB devices to VM's created by vmware workstation or player It usually says when you power on the VM that the HOST USB devices are disabled This is due to the vmware usb arbitration service not running. Symptoms

Virtual PC cannot see host network
I have done as you instructed. The WinXP VPC I set up can see the internet but for some reason it does not see the host Windows 7 machine. When I ping the host from the VPC I get no response. I can ping the VPC from the host machine. I intend to run the ArcInfo license of ArcGIS Desktop on the VPC....
