Windows 7 Boot from VHD

    Windows 7 Boot from VHD


    Base OS --> Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit
    VHD OS --> WIN2008 R2 64Bit

    I have this setup fine on my laptop. I then tried to move the vhd over to an identical laptop, however when I try to boot it up it just restarts automatically.

    Any suggestions?

    Change the BIOS settings to enable Virtualization, then only 64 bit virtual machine will work.
