    Play WoW over Virt PC

does anyone know if its possible to get past the wow "protection" that makes you unable to play WoW over a Virt pc and if that is the case how do you do? I've tried the one from MS website but that one is blocked for running wow with. You can find the Virt PC i tried HERE

What wow says when i start it is: You cant run this program on a Virtual PC.

I don't think it's a protection (though I don't know WoW all that well) but rather a limitation as Windows XP Mode is not designed with gaming in mind.

You could try VMware Workstation: VMware Workstation: Run Multiple OS Including Linux & Windows7, on Virtual Machines though that does cost some money. A decent free solution I've heard is Virtualbox: VirtualBox. You could give that a whirl and see if it plays as I believe VirtualBox has 3D Support. I know VMware Workstation does but I'm not positive on VirtualBox or how far along it has come.

If you mean XP Mode, XPM wasnt designed for playing games, it was designed so that companies can continue using their mission critical programs that require XP.

Does look like this Virt PC have got 3D acc support thought *Thumbs up*

The Virtual PC can actually take the game but at a great cost thought i've got aabout 5-15 FPS and not above that.
