Yesterday, I installed XP Mode on my Win7Pro desktop and everything went smoothly. I am trying to do the same for my Lenovo X220 laptop, which comes with Win7 Pro including SP1. All software is fully ligitimate with proper updates, etc.
XP Mode appeared to insatll ok, but not Virtual PC. ...
What I've done:
1. Boot from Windows 7 DVD
2. Shift-F10 to command prompt
3. created the vdisk
4. selected the vdisk
5. attached the vdisk
6. exit back to install screens
When I select my vhd I get the normal message saying it cannot install but when I click the Next button, I get an...
Is there any way to virtually mount the ISO file and install it from there? I would rather clean install if possible, but if I have to upgrade that is fine. Is it possible without discs?
