XP Mode won't start after mem size increase

Works ok with native 512, but if I increase size (1024 or 2048), XP Mode won't start up. See load bar increasing to about the point where I'd expect the Integration message, but load just restarts. When it again reaches about the same point, it quits. If I retry, there are multiple restarts, but never succeeds. If I change mem size back to 512, it works. Have 8 GB mem native. FWIW: am using AMD Trinity APU, so had to use Hot Patch to get XP Mode to work.

Well the big problem with xp is that it wont accept memory above a certain amount(forget the exact amount off hand). However you should definitely be able to up the memory to more than 8gb. I would set the settings to let windows manage the memory as when i used xp; it seemed to work best for me.

I'm sure it's not a "too big" for XP issue since I'm just trying 1024 and 2048 - valid XP memory sizes. My issue is that I cannot change the default 512 size and have XP Mode load.

of course its not too big; like i said you should be able to up the memory size without a issue up to a certain point.

Windows xp is 32 bit, so 4GB ram is the limit
