Problems trying to install Windows XP mode

    Hi,
I have installed Windows 7 after many years using XP
I have one programe that will not run on 7 but worked fine on XP
I then came across this article How to Install Windows Xp Mode in Windows 7: 16 Steps which i think will solve my problem.
Installed no problem but when i run the software i am told i need to be administrator.
Right clicking the icon does not show anything to allow me to do this.
I was getting nowhere so i decided to delete the Windows virtual PC & Windows mode files and then ask here for advice.
I have deleted the Windows mode file no problem but when trying to delete Virtual file i am told You need permission to perform this action,You require permission from Administrators to make changes to this folder.

    Now i am stuck.
I found how to show the hidden Admin for start up etc and when i tried to delete it i receive the same message.

    Please can you advise.

    Many thanks.

I had issues with xp mode and I had to do a win 7 re install after backing up my files. the minute you get the reinstall done, enable VW and download and run xp mode. this takes time but I have this working on system... good luck

Update before i make any changes.
Original issue was drivers hence looking at XP mode.
So i have installed my software on my desktop in Windows 7 no problem as XP mode was giving me issues.
I have noticed that before the software would connect to COM13 when i used it on XP but the message i see when i select connect on the software using Win 7 is "Device not responding" I have also noticed that you can manually select a COM port for the software to be used on but i only see COM1 & COM2 does this confirm my original issue regarding Drivers.
If i could run this somehow as if its being run by XP my problem is over.

    Thanks.
