    BSOD while running ubuntu on vmware in windows7


    Hello,
    I have a Dell inspiron 15 3521 with 4gb RAM and i3. I am using Windows 7 professional 32bit. I was trying to use ubuntu on vmware. it was installed successfully but when i tried to play that then the bluescreen appears.
    Please help me with this issue asap.

    Is the vmware player the latest version?

    Bluscreens during virtual machine use is typically the result of the pc running out of resources. Make sure your antivirus, and other programs are not running scans/doing anything hard drive intensive automatically during the time you're in the VM.

    Also make sure you are not assigning too much ram to the virtual machine. For example, you have 4GB ram. I would not assign more than 2GB to ubuntu. Close all programs and run only the virtual machine.

    PS: You might also want to consider upgrading to windows 7 x64 instead of 32 bit. It would improve performance slightly.
