    broken VM's after Windows update?

It seems that my VM's won't work anymore. Using Windows virtual pc and virtual box. Anyone else having the same problem?

There might be a fix, in the meantime, have you backups of your VM files?
For example, my Windows XP Mode files are in: C:\Users\[acct]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Virtual PC\Virtual Machines
I periodically backup those files onto my data partition's D:\WindowsXPMode folder.
If you have a similar backup, then perhaps the fix won't drastically alter your best VM.

I did but with both VM's not working, I deleted them. I'm going try and create my Windows 3.1 VM again using Virtual Box.

I use VMware and had to reinstall the VMware program once or twice but an update has never broken a VM. I am just curious what is so different about Windows virtual pc that it would brick the guest OS.
