Windows 7: Virtual Machine Won't Start after BSOD

Virtual Machine Won't Start after BSOD

I'm having problems startup up my Windows XP in a virtual machine on Windows 7 professional (64). This has been running for some 5 years or more already with no problems. Last week I got the BSOD and the entire machine booted. Since that happened, I have not been able to startup the VM and XP which has some important stored information that I'd like to find a way to get off of it.

When I look at c:\Users\Name\Virtual Machine

I see Windows XP in Powered Down mode (nothing else).
If I click on XP, it changes to RUNNING and begins to start XP. It gets about 30% through startup and then the startup box disappears and Windows XP Mode goes back to "powered down".

I'm not sure how to proceed to try and restore this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
