VirtualBox All VMs Recent Startup exit code -1073740777 (0xc0000417)

Howdy,

Suddenly all VMs of Oracle VirtualBox-5.1.23-115417-Win (it's a test build but many other low version including stable ones tried with same result) on win7sp1x64 host (almost all M$ updates installed except some telemetry and rollups for April & May 2017!) have started crashing at boot with absolutely same error as below sample of one of VMs:

Failed to open a session for the virtual machine WIN10-ENTERPRISE-X86.
The virtual machine 'WIN10-ENTERPRISE-X86' has terminated unexpectedly during startup with exit code -1073740777 (0xc0000417).
More details may be available in 'D:\...\Logs\VBoxHardening.log'.

Result Code: E_FAIL (0x80004005)
Component: MachineWrap
Interface: IMachine {b2547866-a0a1-4391-8b86-6952d82efaa0}

I guess it's all maybe due to some recent MS updating and/or video driver installed, however it's not easy to localize a culprit.

Also I failed to google something really helpful.

So could somebody experienced enough check the mentioned above file VBoxHardening.log as attached and give a good advice!

All ideas are really appreciated!

Thanks.

UPDATE: SOLVED!

A culprit was clearly verified as m$ rollup update of April 2017 KB4015549 that has been installed recently but then removed by Win7 restore. However some hard-to-find-and-kill crap seems left behind!

I found no option other than to install KB4015546 as security-only twin of KB4015549.

Thanks all folks for a lack of interest & keeping silence.

Rgds,

p.s. a sample log file removed.

FINAL NOTICE: I was lucky enough to remove KB4015546 also and got VirtualBox VMs back to normal startup again as well although that were a lot of headaches while removal of KB4015546 including multiple BSOD 6b.

Sequence in short:

1. Latest installed win7 rollup update of March 2017 KB4012215 > Vbox VMs = OK!
2. KB4015549 installed > VBox VMs = OK!
3. KB4015549 uninstalled via win7 system restore > VBox VMs startup troubles!
4. KB4015546 installed > Vbox VMs = OK!
5. KB4015546 uninstall via win7 system restore > a lot of BSOD troubles with win7 boot.
6. Finally KB4015546 removed in a pretty tricky way > VBox VMs = OK!

Thus I'd strongly recommend to refrain, if possible due to win7 security reasons, from install either KB4015549 or KB4015546 on your win7 pc, when both KB4015549 & KB4015546 surely have some obvious but fuzzy uninstalling/removal problems!
