Creating a W7 VM with the latest patches

I would like to create a vm for Windows 7 Pro with the latest downloads and patches. I have an install disk and COA, however I found that windows update is not working, and am not able to update to the latest version.
Is there somewhere or some way to get all the latest downloads and upgrade the W7 VM to the latest version?

Might be a little late but if it's a new install and windows update can't find anything it is due to this most likely.
