Problem saving to host drives in seamless mode

    Hi,

I've got Visual InterDev 6 installed using Seamless XP Mode.

If I open a file on the host disk, which opens interdev I cannot save any changes, and I get this error:

"The requested operation cannot be performed on a file with a user-mapped section open"

If I save to a new file in the same folder, it saves ok, but any subsequent edits return the same error if I try to save.

Is this a permissions problem with windows 7 and XP mode, or a quirk with the old interdev software?

Problem saving to host drives XP Mode

No, it cannot be related to interdev software

I have exactly the same problem and trying hard for a solution

In my case, saving from within Visual Studio 2003 raises this error

As a workaround, I move the project location to XP Mode - XP C drive

and when I finish my work, update VSS and move the project location back to Win7 D drive

I move back to Win7 as a precaution so that if in case XP Mode fails, I do have a copy...

Hope MS will suggest a proper solution or at least a workaround for this issue
