    Win98SE on Windows Virtual PC

I think this is the best place for this if it is not can someone move for me and i'm sorry.

I'm still running 7 x64 U and have installed Windows Virtual PC and have an XP image running fine, but i wondered if there was a way to get Win98SE image running in this Virtual PC and also a link to a Win98SE image would be handy as well i have found many links for the image but none from a site i trust.

I still have my legally purchased 98SE CD, and have it installed on a virtual machine running under Virtual PC 2007 on a Win7x64 host. As samuria said, it works just fine.

Win98SE hasn't been released to the public domain, so posting it online wouldn't be legal. Are you thinking there is a trustworthy piracy site? (Wouldn't that be an oxymoron?)

Given MS is giving away XP as a virtual image, i presumed 98 would not be a problem, the only one who mentioned piracy was you, i'm now looking at fleabay for an old version, i trust that is ok, i could see no point in buying and old disc if it would not work.

The license for that XP image is included in the cost of Win 7 Pro, Ultimate or Enterprise. No other versions of Windows are legally entitled to use that XP license.

I have personally purchased copies of Win 98 and 95 from sellers on Ebay. I made sure I bought from a seller with a good reputation and ensured that the disk also came with a license key.
