Epson 7600 not working on virtual xp

I am trying to use The virtual xp on windows 7. I have installed the Epson 7600 which does not work on windows 7. It installs fine but will not print. I am using usb0001 virtual printer to usb. The software is for the 32 bit version of epson 7600. Is there any hope for getting this to work? I Keep getting this document failed to print. Epson is of no help.

    Hi there

    "Houston .....We have a Problem".

XP mode won't often (usually / ever) load usb devices (another BO BO IMO as MS in making what should have been an EXCELLENT idea to be about as useful as a neutered Cat in expanding the Cat population).

You'll have to run a fully featured VM -- just "Switch off Desktop Integration" if you are using Virtual PC or bettere download and use (FREE) vmware player version 3.

The problem with vmware of course is that you'll need a key for the XP virtual machine so if you are using XP MODE you'll probably want to stick with Virtual PC.

If you've GOT an XP disk however I'd go for VMWARE.

It's a REAL SHAME that MS just made XP MPDE too simple so it really is of very very little use at all.

For example many people want to scan documents etc with scanners that only have XP drivers or print with perfectly adequate printers. This type of application SHOULD be possible from XP Mode.

    Cheers
