    defragging on XPM?

Is it necessary to run regular defrags on XPM like normal desktops?

if you really care about the disk performance, you may want to convert vhd to a fixed vhd. Defrag on dynamic virtual disk is kind of mystery, no firm answers. Even if a file is consective under defrag, it may not be so inside the real file system.

I defragmented my drives on VirtualBox and they always ran faster, even when they were dynamic drives. So yes i suggest defragmenting as it will allow apps to start faster and allow the machine to boot faster. Plus all Windows XP Installations, including this, come very heavily fragmented. You would probobly only have to defrag once ever.
