    Minimal/Fake Virutalization of Workspace?

    Hi all,

I was wondering if there's a way to have two environments/workspaces for my computer. However, instead of a program like VirtuaWin, which simply hides windows when I switch to another "workspace," I would like a program that can preserve other things, such as window focus (so if a program only runs when it is active, it will not stop when I want to do something else), and hotkey disabling when I'm on a different workspace.

I've tried using Windows Virtual PC on Windows XP Mode for this, but the program will not run in Windows XP Mode (darn!), and if I run the program on the host, it will try to focus on top of VPC, disrupting my Windows XP workspace.

If anyone has a solution to this or tips, I would be very grateful!

    Thanks!

Need a bit more info, are you trying to run more than one OS at the same time or one OS open multiple times.
