Cant install windows xp mode ! need help !

    Cant install windows xp mode ! need help !


    hi all.... am using Windows 7 build 7100 Ultimate 64bit. I downloaded windows xp mode and virtual pc, but when i install windows virtual pc its showing " This update is not available for your computer " .
    I tested whether my system can run windows xp with " Microsoft® Hardware-Assisted Virtualization Detection Tool ". It shows i can run it. but cant install it . help me guys .

    There should not be a problem after that :)

    Ya i did according to the above tutorial... i get update not available for you computer message when installing virtual Pc.

    ya am gonna buy the new version. but due to this issue am confused.

    It may due to the fact that the version you're running is in it's expiration stage, I'm not sure.

    if beta you have to upgrade It's time to upgrade from the Windows 7 Release Candidate
    this could be why

    No i have been trying this from JAN 2010. From that time also its not working..

    Do you have to enable virtulization in your BIOS.
    On my two 7 rigs, one I did...the other I didn't.
    Just a thought.

    I dont know whtr its enabled or not.. but i have an Asus motherboard. I Read in windows xp mode downloading page that All Asus motherboards have Virtualization enabled by default.

    Anyways can you explain how to check whtr its enabled or not in BIOS ?
