New VM Duplication tool (XP Mode and others)

I've created a tool based on (most of) the instructions described here. Should hopefully make it easier for people to make copies of Window 7 VMs (XP Mode and others), without having to go through the detailed tutorials and manually edit a bunch of XML files. The tool is called XP-More, and is free, portable and open source. This is a first release, further improvements will be made soon. Feedback will be appreciated.

Interesting. Going to test, reporting back with my findings.

Version 1.0 of XP-More released now.

(I'm not going to publish every update here, of course - just thought it was worth mentioning because it's the first release, and works better than the beta version)

    Hi there

Don't want to disparage your efforts but the SIMPLEST and EASIEST way to copy VM's is simply just to back up the directory -- as far as the HOST OS is concerned they are just "Bog standard" Data files".

For VBOX or VMWARE VM's just save the director/directories you saved your VM's in with your favourite software - Acronis etc or even WINDOWS EXPLORER itself.

I am currently playing around with 9 different VM's (not all at rhe same time) which exist in this directory (image shown).

I just run my backup against the Whole Directory --- this can be copied to other host machines etc -- Job simply done.

    Cheers
