can't connect to public (free) wifi internet

    Hi all,

I've a problem that just stump me. I may overlook something while I create my virtual machine in XP mode with my win7 pro laptop. The problem is my machine works fine with my home wireless network which is security enabled. But if I bring it to a public place, such as the library, then when I fire up my virtual machine, it can not connect to that wifi networks for some reason even though win7 works fine.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks
    Ankaa

    Try using bridged connection.

Hello Ankaa, and welcome to Seven Forums.

In addition, your VM will have a different IP address that your Windows 7 host. You may need to make sure that it is allowed to connect to the wireless network.
