Simple answer, it may not be genuine.
A while back MS started sending updates to detect Windows that were not properly activated. It could, also, just be a glitch.
Where did you get your copy?

Hiya there
I got my Home Premium directly from 'John Lewis' which in the UK is a very respected store
It did activate okay when I clicked the 'get more' info button, but it was directly after a large update package today, I have actually been using it with no problem for a few months till today.

Based upon your facts, everything seems ok. Sounds like it was just a temporary bug. Another poster gave information on a Forum for this problem, why not look around?
On the other hand. A copy of windows can be used for 90 days without activation.

If you installed it yourself, the above information on an extension would not be applicable.
Assuming you did not bring it into a shop for installation, I would not worry about the situation.
I have had this happen to me twice in the past few months and i know my os is genuine as it came pre loaded on my notebook from Samsung.
Its just one of those windows glitches that crop up from time to time.
