    Unable to install updates;KB2183461,981852,2665,2799

I can't do any of the updates mentioned in the title. They download fine, but will not install.I received a code in the update window;code 800736B3.I performed a clean boot.I even started the Windows Installer manually.I installed six other updates no problem @ all.
Yes I downloaded all ten updates @ once. The four were the only one's that failed.I even downloaded the updates in question manually & saved them.I went into save mode but;Installer encountered an error;0x8007043c.This service cannot be started in Safe Mode. Then I went back the normal desk top.Still in the clean boot mode.Try to install the same, but failed to install again.

Windows Updates service is not working in safe mode it is normal.

Run this one "MS Fix it " both in NORMAL & AGGRESSIVE mode

How do I reset Windows Update components?

You can also try to re-register all WU library by using this tool Repair & Fix Windows Updates with Fix WU Utility | The Windows Club

if nothing help run Readiness Tool Description of the System Update Readiness Tool for Windows Vista, for Windows Server 2008, for Windows 7, and for Windows Server 2008 R2,this tool will create CheckSur.log file in C:\Windows\Logs\CBS folder -attache this file to post

Disable firewall ,antivirus and any download accelerator ,if disabling them does not help too completely uninstall 3p security software - I know from my experience clean boot not always can kill processes belongs to firewall or antivirus..

If it also doesn't work, run cmd.exe with elevated previlliges (right click on cmd.exe as admin and type:

    sfc /scannow

Try also this "MS Fix it" Error message when you check for updates on the Windows Update site: "0X800A138F: There are no updates available at this time"

You can also try install these updates from Microsoft Download Center Microsoft Download Center: Download Category Search Results (not from Windows Updates)

If nothing help find CBS.log file in C:\Windows\Logs\CBS folder and attache to post

You can also try Windows Live OneCare Windows Live OneCare safety scanner: Free online tool for PC health and safety.Scan all section (protecton,Clean up and tune up).

(the best way run it in safe mode with networking Advanced Boot Options,if you decide to run it in normal mode at least disable all 3p security software)

Surly not all.You haven't ran SFC tool -SFC tool report is empty that means SFC has not been used.Especially important: have you tried truly Live OneCare? I think this tool can fix this error Error Code 800736B3 in Windows Update. As far as I know this is only one thread on the web where this error has been solved. So I suggest to be patient with scanning - I knew I will take few hours but it is worth...

Try install these updates through command prompt with disabled explorer.exe -posts 8-10 from this thread Windows Updates Fail, repeatedly

    Try also these advices

1.Make sure data & time in OS and in BIOS is the same and correct
2.Disconnect computer from internet and try again install standalone versions (normal through double click on install)
    3.Disable add-ons and reset IE
    a) Internet Explorer - Enable or Disable Toolbars and Extensions Add-ons
    b) Internet Explorer - Reset

4.If you have any 3p programs to managing network connections, any ip blocker, popup blocker then uninstall them too.

    if it also fails:

I found on MS Technet one person with the same error said helped him rearming system + Windows Genuie Validation although he seemed had no any problem with activation -strange

1.Run cmd.exe with elevated previlliges (right click on cmd.exe as admin) and type:

    slmgr -rearm

wait patiently untill appear popup with message about succesfully making command +restart, next try install updates (standalone versions)
If it also fail run Validation tool Genuine Microsoft Software

Ultimate solution if really nothing help is to make repair install Repair Install
