Need help identifying a Reg key

Hi all,
Im hoping someone can help me out, Ive searched the internet and these forums and cant find what reg key controls the setting for "Who can install updates" in Windows 7.

When you go to the Windows Update page, and hit the change settings link on the left, the bottom most check box:

Who can install updates
Allow all users to install updates on this computer (with a checkbox)

Im trying to create a GPO to uncheck this setting and grey it out so users will not be able to install updates. I figured if I can find the reg key it would be an easy GPO preference to make.

Anyone help would be great, Thanks!

64-bit Windows 10 Pro

Hello Braul, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Here's the GPO location for that setting in the new tutorial below. Setting it to "Disable" will gray out the Allow all users to install updates on this computer option in Windows Update settings to not allow non-admins to install Windows Updates.

Windows Update - Enable or Disable "Who can install updates" Setting

Hope this helps,
