Thanks for all the information everybody. I normally check on the ones that say "Cannot be removed" It sounds like it's okay huh? I will wait one more day and install it. Sound like you will need it for SPs.

Is there a significance to this update (976902) arriving unchecked?
If it's an Optional or Recommended update, why is it not grouped in that area?
If it's not Optional, why is it unchecked in Important Updates?
I believe its unchecked because it has to be installed separately, from the other updates shown.
By the way...this kb976902 does exist since quite a while...it was either installed on my machine back in Oct 27, 2010...i think many of us already have this update without clearly remember it.
Yes it was prematurely released on windows update. The kilobyte article that goes with it wasn't up on the net yet either. When people went looking to see what it was they got a page cannot be found. Then they discovered it couldn't be uninstalled in the normal fashion. Conspirator's were up in arms that Microsoft was trying to pull a fast one, yada yada yada. I installed it the first time around too. I've done a clean install since then and installed it again. My machine hasn't called me a pirate or self districted so I guess its safe.:)
A few days ago peopele sayed to me that it's need it, becouse I may not recive SP1 without it. Know people are saying the oposite:
Hoever I'm glad that I didn't install it, I toold you that uncked updates may not be need it. Hoever it's good to know abut the updates before you install it, that it's why I never use automaic update.

I didn't install this update, and it still appears in my updates notification window. Does it need to be installed, or can I just disregard it?
