Hey My computer keeps on asking for updates

My new Acer laptop is constantly updating when turning off -
don t turn off wait for updates to be finished error message-
Had this continuously on my first format ....my acer desktop did hundreds of updates ... but the problem keeps on going after a format using
    the ALT + F10 commands.
Which makes me draw the conclusion that the Windows reinstallation file on my D
is corrupt. I mean i did a full format (actually already did twice of them just to be sure that i didn t made any mistakes myself) Stil the same issue
Anybody knows a fix for this?

Regards and thanks for all your assistance!

I am a bit confused about this question Sorry. Please bear with me.

Your Recovery Partition will always be out of date. You will have to do a lot of updates when you first re-install. Are you saying that you always always always get an update on restart?

Is it the same update? Are there any failing updates? Check your update history.

    Thanks!

Since Win 7 has been out for over a year there have been a bunch of updates in that time, so until sp1 comes out with a rollup of all the updates you will get this when you do an install of the os. It was the same with XP until sp1, sp2, and then sp3
