    IE8 uninstall updates

I am currently using IE7 which has worked great for the past 4 months on my desktop. I recently ran MS updater and mistakenly installed 2 IE8 updates. Is it possible that installing these could reduce the performance of IE7? As it seems to be a bit less responsive which may be coinsdence.

I would like to uninstall both of these updates. Is this possible?

Reviewing the update history, these are displayed as successful updates, however when I access the "uninstall an update" feature for updates, they do not appear in the listing of updated programs. Thanks

IE8 is still on your computer or update would not have given you those updates so I would leave them alone.

To get rid of them, open Control Panel then Programs and Features. Click on View Installed Updates and uninstall the ones you don't want.

If it were me I'd leave them though.

You do know that IE8 is native to Window 7? That is Window 7 comes with IE8 already installed (US versions)

So are you sure you were using IE7?

Unless you were using one of these.... Download details: Internet Explorer Application Compatibility VPC Image

"Help" ... "About Internet Explorer" ... answers your second question.

No, I am using IE8, as it is native on my system as you stated. I have been using ie7 so long on my other systems I simply did not look. I'll graciously bow out of this one.

    Its the simple things right.

    Thanks for the replies!
