    reinstall windows sp1


    Hello. my computer has same problems so i want to reinstall windows mateining my setting. i've installed sp1 and stupidly remove backup files. i've sliptreamed the sp1 by rt 7 lite but when i reinstall windows the installation says me that the current version of windows is more recent. how can i fix it? thank you

    You probably have to overwrite your old version of windows by a reformat of your hard disk.
    Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings..

    This is one more reason to always make an image before installing any suspect service packs.

    i have to fix my problems manually. googling, i fixed most of problems except one. when explorer crashes and i restart it, taskbar disappears. do anyone know how i can fix this? thanks

    Run a sfc scan to fix corrupted system files, 3-4 times.

    Impossible to say whats going on. As you mentioned you used "rt 7 lite" a whole bunch of horrible stuff could be wrong. Impossible to say.

    i also use the manual method. i decompressed sp1 and integrate in install.wim. same error: windows in use is most recent.

    When the taskbar disappears press ctrl + Shift + Esc (will bring up task manager) then under the applications tab click 'New Task...' and type in explorer.exe

    yes. i do so. but only windows appear and not the taskbar
