    SP1 for Slipstreaming

SP1 for Windows 7 is on my Windows Update ready to install, but at this time I don't see a reason to install it. Is there a good reason since I am fully updated otherwise?

I do want to download SP1 for Win 7 Pro, 32 bit in order to create a slipstreamed disk. On the Windows Download page, there are several SP1's available.

I assume the one I need is the one marked on the above image. I just wanted to confirm that???

    Thanks in advance

There are decent reasons. I wouldn't call them overwhelming.

No, you have the wrong file. You don't need the MSI files in most cases. The standard 32 bit download is the bottom one. The one just above it is for 64 bit.

You can as well download the Integrated Windows 7 Professional SP1 ISO image. Just google and you will get it. Of course it will be a a large file, may be 2GB+.

That's what our friend alphanumeric says here and I believe. ( I did torrent download 7 Ultimate with SP1 integrated but will not use it till I am forced into a reinstall anytime in future. It is just kept as a standby.:))

    Hello Huffman,

This can help show you more on which SP1 to download and how to slipstream it to create a Slipstream Windows 7 SP1 installation DVD, ISO file, or bootable USB flash drive.

Slipstream Windows 7 SP1 into a Installation DVD or ISO File

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn
