Its not up to M$ its Itunes problem, they can't be bothered why should anyone else.
They've got your money, why should they worry.

This thread is making me cringe.

Exactly what happens when you have to use junk, specific software to enable your device.

Not to mention, Apple has known about this service pack since it hit the RC milestone. The final code for SP1 was fininished in November. Who's to blame?

3 months for Apple to get their software ready for SP1 and they dropped the ball.

You'll be waiting a long while, for iTunes, and SP1 is the finished version, forget the "Boys toys" concentrate on your computer its worth a lot more than the Apple tripe.

So your iTunes is more important than you computer, you have a strange sense of values.
Really?

I didn't realize that my computer would implode if I didn't install SP1. Thanks for the heads up!

And sooner or later, the software conflict will be fixed. Which is when I will download it again.

Well for a different point of view.....

After reading this thread I just gave iTunes a run through and have no issues. And iTunes does recognize my iPod.

This is on Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit with SP1 installed. The latest version of iTunes (10.1.2.17)

Not saying you guys don't have issues, but you can't say iTunes won't work with SP1 installed either.

I am also having this problem, and it is ruining my ipod (apple have already said it is beyond repair but im determined to prove them wrong)
I did what this post said to uninstall Service Pack 1 and in the 'installed updates' it is no longer there but when i right click on My Computer it says Service Pack 1
I tried to do a system restore but it wont go back as far as before I installed SP1 (only yesterday which is annoying!)

Anyone know how to get rid of it?
iTunes is still freezing so it seems as if it is still there regardless of what the installed updates section says
