For those having issues with iTunes there's a new release - Apple - iTunes - Download iTunes Now (ver 10.2)

I wouldn't be so sure. The update appears mostly to accomodate iOS 4.3 and was developed before this SP1 issue came up. They still seem to be having problems on the Apple forums:

I can't speak for others but on 4 systems, after SP1, problems with iTunes.
After upgrade to iTunes 10.2, no problems.

I am running iTines 10.1.2.17 and have recently installed service pack 1 for Windows 7 Home Premium (32 bit) and have to report that iTunes is behaving exactly as it should and my iPod has Synced OK and is now charging.

Since installing SP1 have also burned CD's Ok from iTunes.

Hey guys. I have a similar problem. After spinning my wheels forever on this I finally realized that I stated having problems with itunes not syncing my music and freezing up on sync after I installed SP1. Sometimes it will sync the music however when I play it back on my IPhone 3gs, it plays snippets of the song and will start the song 30 seconds in about. Weird!! Is anyone else having this problem with the 3gs??? The word part is, my music will play perfectly fine in itunes but once on the phone, it's all whacked out. I tied syncing with another system and it synced the music over perfectly. I checked the files, and they are all good with no corruption. It has to be something with SP1...

I'm using Windows 7 SP1 64 bit and iTunes 10.2 (the latest one). I get the freeze but iTunes later would recognize my iPhone 4 BUT NOT my wife's iPhone 3G on iOS 3.1.3.
