Hmmm...after I did the uninstall, the service pack reference went away. I am guessing that your uninstall is incomplete.

Here a tutorial on how to uninstall SP1 - https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials...uninstall.html
Good luck.

Here is an interesting thread:
Apple - Support - Discussions - iTunes freezes after upgrading to ...
I have no issues with SP1 and my iTunes. Only thing I noticed was, iTunes asked me to authorize my laptop again.
My policy is to image my system partition at the end of each month, and then run Windows update immediately afterward.
The idea is to be able to undo damage from updates without losing any "work" . It would suck to have to roll back to an earlier image after doing a lot of work with other applications/the registry/etc.
While SP1 may be temping, I'm waiting to see how many problems it causes before installing it myself.
Are the people who are NOT having problems with itunes and SP1 using a 32 bit or 64 bit version of windows? Just wondering.
I'm running iTunes 10.1.0.56 and I'm not having an issues with SP1 installed with my iPhone 3GS connected. Honestly, I've had that issue with iTunes many times, before SP1, and before using Windows 7 at all. Thats why I only use iTunes on one PC to handle iOS updates and my Apps library. I use MediaMonkey to load music and movie to the phone. iTunes is utter crap.
I'm on Win7 Pro 64 bit and SP1 and I just purchased music and sync'd with no issues at all. So far my PC seems fine after SP1 update. I haven't syn my Iphone yet. But I've got an older 3G Iphone.
