Tried installing KB2345886 as a standalone download and tried and ran the download from the site,to no avail. Did notice that when I RAN it from the site it configured all the way to 91% usually it only configures to 75%. Don't know if that means anything. Drat!!!!

Since I don't have ATI, (I have never had ATI on this computer, only NVidia).... does that mean I should do the InPlace upgrade?
Also note from that topic Froztbound's post regarding extracting drivers from the original Windows 7 DVD and using the tutorial here for how to do it.copy the files from the topic to the WinSxS folder. The drivers are aprt of Windows, so it doesn't matter which card you have. If the drivers are missing, Sp1 fails.
I think you need to either replace the drivers or do a repair install.
I tried to install the SP1 update on a fresh system about 6 times today . Failed every time .
I used Driver Cleaner Pro not Driver sweeper. Should I still try what Andre said.?
Also I didn't have error 800F0A13,I have 80004005 and 800f0826.

Extract and replace the %SystemRoot%\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository with the following folders:

Extract and replace the %SystemRoot%\winsxs with the following folders (x64):
amd64_atiilhag.inf.resources_*
amd64_atiilhag.inf_*
amd64_atiriol6.inf_*
amd64_nv_lh.inf.resources_*
amd64_nv_lh.inf_*
Extract and replace %SystemRoot%\winsxs\Manifests with the following files:
amd64_atiilhag.inf-languagepack_*.manifest
amd64_atiilhag.inf.resources_*.manifest

After replacing the folders and files, reboot your computer. Then start the cmd-prompt as administrator and do a sfc /scannow to verify that everything copied correctly and verifies 100%.

After applying the System Update Readiness Tool, the SP1 installed successfully. Seems the tool (Windows6.1-KB947821-v10-x64.msu) did the trick. I downloaded the SP1 (windows6.1-KB976932-X64.exe) and ran it. This time the SP1 installed itself and ran without any problems whatsoever.
My suggestions to fix the error Code 800F0A13 is the following:
Extract and replace the above mentioned files and folders. Reboot. Download and run the System Update Readiness Tool to fix any remnant errors and do another reboot. Then either download the SP1 and apply it manually or try the Windows Update.

jakedog, look how many times the files she listed in the post just before yours pop up. Check the procedure she posted, follow it carefully, and you should be alright. :)
You also might want to edit your post and just attach the log as a text file - that's a lot of scrolling!
IDK about that. It sounds like its jacked by some type of malware. Iv cleaned a laptop with win7 while back, and it was a not allowing any updates. Before you f-disk it try combofix from here.
