    i get my updates installed no trouble but service pack1 wont go can anybody help tried everything suggested

    Hi, welcome to the forums :)

    Are you getting any error messages when you try to download it?

    Also, make sure that somehow it's not already installed, click Start then right-click Computer and select Properties.

I find it odd that when I do a Windows Update in Windows 7, the Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) updates are also found. But if I do a Windows Update in XP Mode, the MSE updates are not found. I don't suppose this is controllable? I'd like the Windows Update to find MSE updates.
