Thanks airbot. Yes, I did have KB971033 hidden. I just wanted to make sure MS didn't decide to sneak it in under a Service Pack. The kind of stuff they tried to do under Vista and got clobbered for it.

Uh, that's what they say, but I have a valid receipt and I have a valid key and I did enter it at the time of activation. As far as I'm concerned, that should be good enough for them.

Yes, they can try.

Well not really, considering the sheer ubiquity of Windows and the fact that I do have to take some of my work home with me using their proprietary formats. I'm afraid that's not entirely by choice.

windows 7 ultimate
They own it ??

They own it and I bought a license to use it ??
No I Bought a copy of their product with a license to use it.
I didn't Purchase a lease agreement with them, where I would have to constantly check in with them every so often or my lease agreement would be up b.s.
I also Don't believe anywhere in their terms it said they could constantly keep adding on more software to their original product and thereby keep changing the terms ???
