As you can see, two files are unavailable for repair . Luckily, i found this thread in the forum: unable sp1. It is apparently possible to obtain the files from an another source and use them to complete the repairs.

If anyone could provide the missing files, I'd be really thankful.

    Thanks alot.

Hello nadirxyz and welcome to the Seven Forums!

You have me! lol. Let me see if I can get it right first time for you!

WARNING! This fix was created specifically for this user! If you are not this user, do not follow these instructions!
    @nadirxyz: Ignore the above

Please extract both files in the attached Packs.zip into C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Servicing\Packages\,re-run the System Update Readiness Tool, and get me another copy of C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.persist.log if the problem still persists.

    Thanks!

    Richard

Thanks for the quick reply ! Your fix worked just fine, The System Update Readiness Toolran correctly (except for the fact that NO errors were found. I may have inadvertently corrected the problem yesterday by reinstalling some updates...). But Windows update ain't working normally yet .
When i tried to install the update KB2479943, WU failed and returned the error code 800B0100. System logs indicate that the update failed with the error code 0x800f0816. What could be causing the issue ?

Check to make sure your system security files are registered

Also, you can use the Fix it tool mentioned in the article to automatically reset the Windows Update components:

(btw: instead of using the fix it tool, i used this link: Windows Update - Reset

    Hello again!

You probably did fix it yesterday. Anyway, the problem is probably not there any more (SURT does not always pick up all errors in one run)

Please copy the C:\Windows\Logs\CBS folder to your Desktop, right click on it > Send to > Compressed (zipped) folder, and upload the new file which is created on your Desktop here.

    Thanks!

Hi, just wanted to tell you that i reran The MS Fix it tool, but this time on the agressive setting. And i have been finally able to install some updates. I am right now installing the missing ones. Not sure yet if they're all going to work...
Anyway, I wanted to thank you guys because you have been really helpful.
EDIT: IE9 won't install...It says it can't finish the install. I already tried the troubleshooting steps proposed by microsoft, and tried in clean boot mode. With no sucess so far...
Win7 x64 SP1 fails to install with error code 80073701.
