So that I can sometimes work from home, I'm considering upgrading my W 7 Home to W 7 pro.

But I wonder if it's worth the cost of the upgrade. I'm told I can make the connection by a free d/l of something or other, and the Home versions meets all my other needs.

Doc, I never used that tool. Just installed it and was wondering what you enter into the "Partner ID" field?

Hi Feppisher, welcome to the Seven Forums.

As Doc already told you, TeamViewer is an excellent tool, perfect for what you want to achieve. Doc's TeamViewwer tutorial tells everything you need to know to start remote computing.

@Wolfgang, the partner ID is the TeamViewer ID from that computer you want to connect remotely. Maybe this post gives you an idea: Windows 7 pc to Vista pc?

Thanks Kari, I will check that out.

Update: I got the idea. Is really easy.
