I guess patch Tuesday is sort of a flexible concept where Microsoft is concerned. That said they are all installed but.....this makes 23 for April not the published 17 we got earlier this month. This is the kind of thing that makes people question if a bunch of bozos are running the business side of Microsoft which I suspect has more truth than Microsoft would like to acknowledge.

Not sure if this is the place to post it, but after installing these updates, I had a problem updating microsoft security essentials. tried uninstalling it, then couldnt reinstall it. was afraid it was a virus, so i tried installing avg, but that couldnt install either. I did a system restore and am trying to update MSE now and hope that it works (it seems to be). any idea which update could have caused the problem?

    I'm on windows 7 ultimate x64

I am a newbee. Two hours ago I wanted to shot down my Dell Inspiron 14R laptop I got the message not to power off since it is installing update 1 of 6. It is still running as I post this. Should I wait or how do I abort. ctrl/alt delete does not work.

Saw them and then installed them, I didn't really think about it too much.

Still can't install these on my PC :/

    EDIT: This worked for me:

You need to install KB982018 LAST. Apparently it will NOT install until or unless you've FIRST installed one or all of: KB2492386, KB2515325 & KB2522422.

Just had all four fail and revert on me, until I installed the other three and then applied KB982018. So... yeah.
Found it in one of the other threads :)
