32 bit upgrade to 64 bit

I have Windows 7 Home premium 32 bit installed. Just wondering if I can upgrade/update to Windows 7 Home premium 64 bit with the same key as I'm using for the current setup. Would love to find out before I waste my time trying it.

    Thanks

Yes you can, but it involves a fresh install - there is no true upgrade from x86 to x64.

Remember that the two versions MUST be the same. In your case you are going Home Premium x86 ---> Home Premium x64, so no problems at all.
