    Exactly what is the problem? I have Office 2003 Professional and have no problems.

    Updates for Office2003


    Thanks Firebird,
    I have Windows 7 Home Premium,32 bit.Pretty standard desk top.
    When I update windows everything is fine except Office 2003. It will download but installation fails. Try again fails also to install.
    I get error 646 but windows cannot repair or fix.
    This has happened once before but I lost track of the fix.

    Most shutdowns are delayed because the operating system wants to stay open for a
    nother try at installation.

Running the monthly update, there were no updates for MS Office 2003 even though there are at least two which are available to Vista. One update (KB975958) is an update to the Outlook Junk mail filter. The other was KB 975958. Do they have to be added manually?
