Yet there is no place for me to enter the key so it can stop saying that, YET ,again, when i run MGADiag it says your code number is bla bla blabla. So I have the key...but the computer say's i dont.... that and i can't get updates witch might be cause it says i have no key code.

    Hi,

If you are 100% certain that your software is genuine then you can visit the following link

    Genuine Microsoft Software

this will check your current validation and give details. If successful, your copy of windows will be validated and the popups & watermarks will be gone.

       Note
Some download/installation of software may be required

First try changing the product key.

    Product Key Number - Change

If that doesnt help, try recreating the Licensing Store:

    1) Click on Start orb and type cmd.

    2) Right-Click on CMD.exe in the results and select Run as Administrator.

    4) Type: net stop sppsvc
and hit Enter. Select Yes if prompted.

    4) Type: cd %windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareProtectionPlatform
    and hit Enter.

    5) Type: rename tokens.dat tokens.bar
    and hit Enter.

    6) Type: cd %windir%\system32
    and hit Enter.

    7) Type: net start sppsvc
    and hit Enter.

    8) Type: slui.exe
    and hit Enter.

    9) The Windows Activation dialog will now appear. You may be asked to reactivate and/or re-enter your product key or activation may occur automatically.

If it's already installed then it should forward you to the validation process like shown below.

This copy of windows is not genuine.-validate.png

You may need to uninstall the update from Programs & Features -> Installed Updates from Control Panel then try again.

Since yours is a retail key, MS is bound to support it. If nothing works, activate by phone.

For the other when i type in net stop i get, "The Software Protection service is not started."

I can't find the one thing in the Installed Updates to uninstall it.
