Just FYI, win7 pro has all the networking features you require, it just doesnt have bitlocker. A pro upgrade license will still be cheaper than ultimate.

I think we will be fine with home premium if all I wanted was backup to a network. Although, the bugs in Comodo from the October 2010 release still haven't been fixed.

But I found a cheaper solution... Don't upgrade the PCs just yet.
