The Eset scanner says

another antivirus was detected. this may affect the quality and performance of the scan, so i didnt run it

However, i ran the norton online scanner (Norton Power Cleaner) and it flagged Autochk.exe as bad, but was unable to fix it.

my computer hasnt been running slow, but sfc says there still are corrupted files.

How should i proceed? Do you want the log from the norton power cleaner?

See this about autochk.exe Manually resetting AUTOCHK.EXE for a drive (don't bother to join!)

and this ... autochk.exe | ThreatExpert statistics
Do you have the path to autochk.exe that was removed by Norton?

This is what norton power eraser said

Detected: Autochk.exe
Type: Startup Item
Local Scan: Bad
Remote Scan: Not a known threat
Location: C:/Windows/System32/autochk.exe

Kind of a contradiction
Local Scan: Bad
Remote Scan: Not a known threat
Location: C:/Windows/System32/autochk.exe

Navigate to that file on your computer, upload, and have it scanned by jotti Jotti's malware scan

Well, that's good. It's possible that it could be corrupted.

Run the online Eset Scanner, and ignore what Norton says.
