    Windows Activation Restrictions

I am getting ready to assemble a computer from scratch and install the operating system for a 2 computer office where my wife works. (computer crashed, currently running Windows XP SP3) I am going to install Windows Home Prem 7 full version. My question is if I do this at home and activate Windows from my home then take the Computer to the office and set it up, will it then tell me that it is an unauthorized Windows OS. I guess another way to ask is does the activation process read the hardware on the computer only or does it also read the IP address of the Modem and/or Router during activation?

    Thanks

Computer only, not modem or router.
