    tommy,
In my sig is a link to "Ur Office & OS keys".

Would you download that program which doesn't actually install but simply runs.

Run that program on your desktop.

Run that program on your laptop.

Compare the os keys and tell me if they agree or disagree.

do NOT post the actual keys.

Just noticed that now they offer both ways-either as a standalone or as an installable pgm. Either one is good. Just be sure to download the 32 bit version since according to your system spec you have the 32 bit version of win 7.

Include the results in your next post.
I dont think thats very advisable, OP's Windows and Office keys would be on full public display.

    Hello Tommy!

If you want to deal with two computers at once, feel free to create a separate thread in this same sub-forum, and we can do that, however, as has already been agreed, please no logs from your Desktop computer in this thread :)

Firstly, please run the System Update Readiness Tool: Description of the System Update Readiness Tool for Windows Vista, for Windows Server 2008, for Windows 7, and for Windows Server 2008 R2

Now please copy the C:\Windows\Logs\CBS folder to your Desktop, right click on it > Send to > Compressed (zipped) folder, and upload the new file which is created on your Desktop here.

    Thanks a lot!

    tommy,
I corrected the post, but I just wanted to make sure that you don't actually post the keys of the os systems.

I need to know if they agree or disagree, but not the actual key.

    Tommy,

Just wanted to clarify--by agree/disagree what I really mean is: are they the same?
